As the title says it has certainly been a while, not that I had planned for it to be.
Unfortunately real life has gotten in the way of being able to maintin the blog which does sadden me as I do enjoy writing the posts, interacting with commentors and checking out other blogs. Another unfortunately is that it most likely will not be any time soon that I can maintain writing on a regular basis.
I'm hoping to finalise some small posts to backdate for last year and the beginning of this year and once that has been done look at going forward.

February 2017 purchases
Two, what I would class as biggies, off the list in February in the form of Sakura Wars and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.
Sakura Wars is one of the last few Wii games that I have been after and for some reason I kept missing out on it when seeing it up for sale, finally it is mine. Fire Emblem I don't think I have ever seen in the wild so very pleasing to add an elusive game to the DS collection.
Huge thanks to DS90Gamer for selling them to me.

Nintendo Switch reveal
Nothing much about the games but the concept of the machine is certainly very interesting. Looks like Nintendo have thought of every way that you could possibly play alone or with friends.
If Nintendo can get the launch to six month games right this could and should hopefully be massive.

Damage Inc. Cancelled Metallica game
Youtube channel PtoPOnline has managed to get their hands on some early development from 2003 of a Metallica car game.
Being developed by Black Rock Studios Damage Inc: Metallica looks from the video like it may have been a post-apocalyptic car destroying game or a misson based car game in the vein of the later
released Red Faction: Guerrilla (yes I know that was set on Mars).
It's interesting that there does not seem to be any references to Metallica in the game even with it being such an early development. I wouldn't be expecting music but if you didn't know the title of the game you wouldn't think that it was named after the band.
Watch the video below to see what you think.

A slump
Regular readers (if there are any left) will have noticed by now that it has been fairly quiet on here for a good few months now. This is because I've hit a slump in gaming and writing.
Since I last posted back in February I've played through and completed one game, which wasn't even that great, and when I do game all that I pretty much play is Pro Evolution 6 on the DS. I think that I'm slowly starting to come out of the slump as I've really been enjoying Diner Dash on the DS (it's funny the games that can revive your passion) that I purchased recently and I'm slowly starting to get the itch to write again.
Give me a few more weeks and hopefully I may start posting again.
